"Righteousness is not in turning your faces towards East or West (in prayers).
Indeed, righteousness means having faith in Allah, and helping relatives, orphans, the needy and the wayfarer.
Indeed, righteousness lies in setting slaves free, establishing prayer and helping others.
Indeed, righteous are those who keep their word, and enjoin patience during poverty and hardship.”
"Verily! We sent Moses with Our Revelations, saying:
'Guide your people away from darkness and towards light,
And remind them of their Lord.’
Indeed! In this are signs for those who believe.
And thus, Moses said to his people:
'Recall the Mercy of your Lord, for He delivered you from the Pharaoh's atrocities.'
And remember when your Lord proclaimed:
'If ye are grateful, surely We will increase you [in favor].
But if ye show ingratitude, indeed, the punishment is severe.’
And Moses spoke:
'Certainly, your Lord is free of all wants, and worthy of all praise'.”
“O ye who believe!
Do not ridicule others, perhaps they may be better than you.
And do not insult one another, nor call each other by offensive names.
Lewdness is surely ill-seeming, and those who do not desist are indeed wrongdoers.”
